' 40-27 BUILDING <br />BRPH ARCHITECTS -ENGINEERS, INC. <br />SECTION 07 14 10 — BELOW -GRADE WATERPROOFING <br />' PART 1 - GEN <br />ERAL <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br />BELOW -GRADE WATERPROOFING <br />IA. This Section includes the following products for use in waterproofing horizontal and <br />vertical surfaces in tunnels, trenches and elevator pits using: <br />1. Modified bituminous sheet waterproofing applied to concrete wall surfaces below <br />grade. <br />2. Adhesive -coated HDPE sheet waterproofing on prepared sub -base prior to <br />placement of concrete slabs forming bottom of trenches and pits. <br />3. Protection course. <br />4. Sleeve seals around piping penetrations into tunnels and trenches. <br />B. Related Sections include the following: <br />1. Section 07 92 00 "Joint Sealants" for joint -sealant materials and installation. <br />2. Section 21 05 17 "Sleeves and Sleeve Seals for Fire -Suppression Piping" for <br />sealing pipe penetrations in below grade fire suppression applications. <br />3. Section 22 05 17 "Sleeves and Sleeve Seals for Plumbing Piping" for sealing <br />' pipe penetrations in below grade plumbing applications. <br />4. Section 26 05 44 "Sleeves and Sleeve Seals for Electrical Raceways and <br />Cabling" for sealing penetrations in below grade electrical applications. <br />1.2 PREINSTALLATION MEETINGS <br />A. Preinstallation Conference: Conduct conference at Project site. <br />1. Review waterproofing requirements including surface preparation, substrate <br />condition and pretreatment, minimum curing period, forecasted weather <br />conditions, special details and sheet flashings, installation procedures, testing <br />and inspection procedures, and protection and repairs. <br />1.3 ACTION SUBMITTALS <br />A. Product Data: For each type of product. <br />1. Include construction details, material descriptions, and tested physical and <br />t performance properties of waterproofing. <br />2. Include manufacturer's written instructions for evaluating, preparing, and treating <br />substrate. <br />' B.
