1 <br /> _location of utilities within the site. (Note: these firms will charge for services rendered). The <br /> Contractor shall pay for all fees and costs associated with utility disconnect, capping of lines <br /> and meter removals required within the Public Rights-of-Way. <br /> B. The Contractor shall meet with the Engineer to verify location of utilities with the <br /> Contractor's location services. To make arrangements the Contractor shall contact the <br /> Owners Representative to request the meeting and also arrange for underground utility <br /> location services by Everett Parks Plumbing, Electrical, Sewer/Wastewater Shops and <br /> Environmental services staff for locates, site information and to request shut-off of <br /> pressurized or powered utilities. Verify that all appropriate services have been disconnected. , <br /> C. Utility Shutoffs: Coordinate all work with other Division 01 requirements. Do not shut off <br /> or cap utilities without prior notice. Keep streets,sidewalks and site clean and free from debris <br /> at all times. Keep both street and site drainage systems open for free passage of runoff at all <br /> times. Provide siltation control and catch basin protection as required by Best Managements <br /> Practices and Drainage Codes as required and/or directed by the Engineer. <br /> D. Objectionable Noises: Limit use of air hammers,back-up alarms and other noisy equipment <br /> as much as possible. Conform to local governing requirements and Section 01 57 19 of <br /> these Specifications. <br /> PART 2—PRODUCTS (Not Used) ' <br /> PART 3 -EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 PROTECTION OF FACILITIES: <br /> A. Follow all procedures in Section 01 76 00, for protection of drainage structures, utilities, <br /> trees,irrigation and other facilities during demolition work. <br /> 3.02 DEMOLISH ASPHALT PAVING: ' <br /> A. Identify areas of existing AC paving to be removed for approval of the Engineer prior to <br /> commencing this work. When markings are approved,provide a clean, sawn edge through a <br /> minimum of 2/3 of the thickness of the material to be removed to protect adjacent paving to <br /> remain. Use care to protect edge to remain as saw-cut edge will remain as a finished edge <br /> against new Asphalt Paving work (Section 32 12 16.13). Completely remove AC paving, <br /> including base rock,to a total depth required to install new subgrade and path per plan. <br /> 3.03 DEMOLISH CONCRETE PAVING: <br /> A. Identify areas of existing Concrete Paving to be removed for approval of the Engineer prior <br /> to commencing this work. When markings are approved, provide a clean, sawn edge <br /> through a minimum of 2/3 of the thickness of the material to be removed to protect adjacent <br /> paving to remain. Use care to protect edge to remain as saw-cut edge will remain as a <br /> finished edge against new Concrete work (Section 32 13 13).
