I <br /> B. Copies of these easements and permits will be available from the Owner for inspection by the <br /> Contractor. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to determine the adequacy of the <br /> easement obtained in every case. I <br /> C. Confine construction operations to within the easement limits or street right-of-way limits, or <br /> make special arrangements with the property owners for the additional area required and <br /> notify the Engineer with a copy of the written approval from property owners of any such 111 <br /> conditions. <br /> D. Any damage to private property,either inside or outside the limits of right-of-way or111 <br /> easements provided by the Owner,resulting from Work shall be the responsibility of the <br /> Contractor. Before the Engineer will authorize final payment,the Contractor will be required <br /> to furnish the Owner with written releases from property owners where the Contractor has <br /> obtained special agreements or easements or where the Contractor's operations, for any <br /> reason,have not been kept within the construction right-of-way obtained by the Owner. <br /> 3.3 PROTECTION <br /> A. Existing Facilities: <br /> 1. It is the intent of these specifications that all streets, structure, and utilities be left in a <br /> condition equal to or better than original condition at the completion of the Project. <br /> 2. Where damage occurs,and cannot be repaired or replaced,the Contractor shall purchase <br /> and install new material to the satisfaction to the Engineer. <br /> 3. Drawings and/or specifications cover and govern replacement and restoration of <br /> foreseeable damage. <br /> B. Removal of Water: <br /> 1. As specified in Section 31 23 19, Dewatering. <br /> 2. At all times during construction provide and maintain ample means and devices with <br /> which to remove promptly and dispose of properly all water entering the excavations or <br /> other parts of the Work. <br /> 3. Keep all excavations dry until the utilities or vaults to be placed therein are completed. <br /> In water bearing sand,well points and/or sheeting shall be supplied,together with pumps <br /> and other appurtenances of ample capacity to keep the excavation dry as specified. <br /> 4. Dispose of water from the Work in a suitable legal manner without damage to adjacent <br /> 111 <br /> property or structures. <br /> C. Trench Protection: <br /> 1. Provide the materials, labor and equipment necessary to protect trenches at all times. <br /> 2. Trench protection shall provide safe working conditions in the trench and protect the I <br /> Work, existing property,utilities,pavement, etc. <br /> 3.
