Peats (90:10 ratio) — The most commonly used organic component is a peat. It <br /> shall have a minimum organic matter content of 85% by weight as determined <br /> by loss on ignition (ASTM D 2974 Method D)." <br /> Part 3.03-A, delete Paragraph "A." in its entirety and replace with the following: <br /> "A. Install drainage per F-113 to F-116 — Drainage Plans and Details on Sheet <br /> GD-104." <br /> Part 3.06-A, delete Section "A." in its entirety. <br /> Part 3.09, delete the text "...and sod..." <br /> Part 3.10, delete Section "3.10"in its entirety and replace with the following: <br /> "3.10 Step 9, Grassing — Seed and Sod per Section 32 40 27 — Golf Course <br /> Grassing, Table 1. <br /> All fairways and roughs not receiving sod shall be seeded per grassing <br /> lines locations identified on the Grassing Plan. <br /> A. Note - the perimeter of all fairways shall be sodded with no less than a <br /> three-foot (3') strip of the appropriate sod. Sodding shall be in rows at right <br /> angles to the slope. <br /> B. Note - All pond banks from normal water operating level to a minimum of 24" <br /> past top of bank shall be sodded. <br /> C. Note - All slopes exceeding twenty percent (20%) shall be sodded. <br /> D. Note - A ten-foot by ten-foot (10' by 10') square around all inlets shall be <br /> sodded. <br /> E. After applying lime, fertilizer and amendments at the specified rates, drag to <br /> an even grade and roll for firmness. <br /> F. Fairways and Roughs: Grassing (seeding) shall be by Brillion Seeder or <br /> other method pre-approved by ENGINEER, in two (2) directions with a 30 <br /> degree difference in direction of passes. One-half (1/2) of the sowing rate <br /> shall apply to each direction. A well-experienced operator using precision <br /> equipment must do all seeding. <br /> 1. Apply one-half the specified application rate for seed and then <br /> immediately followed by a second application in a direction perpendicular <br /> to the first. <br /> 2. The application of the seed shall be not more than two inches (2") apart <br /> to a sown depth of one quarter inch (1/4") with a Brillion Seeder or <br /> Page 8 of 14 <br />
