These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2003 International Residential Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2004 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. 1. 4 x 10 beam appears to be overstressed. Provide size species and grade of beam. Show,enough of the existing building framing to calculate the loads on the beam (provide building section). 2. Provide 50 cfm fan in bathroom and 100 cfm fan in kitchen. 3. Provide 110 volt smoke alarm in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or area giving access to each separate sleeping area. Detectors shall be interconnected and have battery back-up. 4. Provide window sizes to verify that light and ventilation requirements are provided. 5. Provide minimum 36" landing on outside of the exterior door. Show on plans. 6. Specify anchor bolt size and spacing 7" minimum embedment, minimum 2 each piece and within 12" of each end of each piece. Provide 3" x 3" x 1/" plate washer on all anchor bolts in braced wall lines.
