TO: Soojin Kim, Sharon Marks
FROM: Mary Cunningham `1/-'
DATE: September 21, 2007
SUBJECT: Revised ordinance
Here's the revised ordinance that I think reflects your comments related to the Charter and
citing/revising entire sections or subsections of ordinances.
Where an entire section or subsection was included in the latest ordinance revision for that
section, my attached ordinance Section heading lists that latest ordinance as what's being
revised. [e.g. Section 1 of Ordinance 2322-98 (EMC 19.15.020)]
If the latest ordinance revisions have not included the entire section or subsection, my attached
ordinance section heading lists the last ordinance that included the entire section, as well as the
latest revision date [e.g. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1847-92, as most recently amended by
Ordinance 2994-07, (EMC 19.4.020)]
This change results in a change to the title of the Ordinance, referencing of the ordinances being
amended. I previously referred to Ordinance 2307-98 as amended, versus now saying its
amending 2322-98 (2322-98 did include the entire subsection in the ordinance).
I'm hoping that you will consider these as scrivener's errors.
