Please review and respond to the <br /> comments below. These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be <br /> required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2012 <br /> International Building Code (IBC), the 2012 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2012 International <br /> Mechanical Code (IMC), and the 2012 International Energy Conservation (IECC), as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and adopted by the city of Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for <br /> accessible design is the 2009"Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities"(ICC/ANSI A117.1). Federal <br /> ADA, FHA, and HUD regulations and standards, including the Fair Housing Accessibility Guidelines may be <br /> more restrictive. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the <br /> Building Division with two complete new sets of construction documents reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. WAC 51-54A-3802.3.3.2 states"The firm or individual performing the engineering <br /> analysis for the technical report shall be approved by the fire code official prior to <br /> performing the analysis". Jim Venturo, the fire code official for this project, has yet to be <br /> contacted. <br /> 2. WAC 51-54A-3802.3.3.1.1 states"Where a technical report is required to be submitted <br /> for review and approval by the fire code official to meet the requirements of 3802.3.3.2, <br /> the following actions shall occur: 1.Prior to submittal of the technical report, the engineer <br /> shall submit educational background and professional experience specific to the review <br /> and approval of system, equipment and process with like hazards of those associated <br /> with the marijuana extraction system to the fire code official. 2. Once the proof of <br /> qualifications are found acceptable by the fire code official, the engineer of record shall <br /> produce the technical report and the report shall be signed and sealed in accordance <br /> with Washington State requirements. <br /> The proof of qualifications shall include documentation indicating the person is a <br /> professional engineer licensed in Washington State." <br /> 3. 3802.3.3.4.2.4.d states"Date, signature and stamp of the professional engineer <br /> performing the engineering document review of the report. The engineering document <br /> review cannot be performed by the authoring engineer." <br /> 4. 3802.4.4 and IBC 414 requires the floor of the control area (extraction room) to be a 2- <br /> hour horizontal assembly.
