Has the planning commission forgotten the <br /> Community Streets Initiative recommendation to locate such <br /> services outside the city core? <br /> Downtown Everett does not need and should not want a methadone <br /> clinic in its core. The Community Streets Initiative was started to <br /> focus on street-level social issues in the Everett urban core that <br /> were causing it citizen to feel unsafe walking the streets, shopping <br /> at local business, or going to the library. <br /> The Trask Surgery Center as a THS clinic will pollute downtown <br /> Everett. The methadone clinic near Evergreen way has had at least <br /> 20 plus people milling around its facilities when every I have <br /> driven by, something the city of Everett should not tolerate. Everett <br /> has been working hard to clean up its streets.
