March 9, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., March 9, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council Vice President Tuohy presiding. Upon <br /> roll call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members <br /> Moore, Franklin, Bader, Stephanson, and Tuohy were present. Council <br /> Members Roberts and Murphy were excused. <br /> Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 2, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson announced that Bill Hobson, former executive director <br /> of Seattle Downtown Emergency Service Center, passed away on Friday, <br /> March 4, 2016. The Mayor stated Mr. Hobson was a lifelong advocate for <br /> Seattle's homeless and one of the pioneers in the Housing First approach <br /> to ending homelessness. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Puget Sound Regional Council Growth Management Subcommittee <br /> meeting last week. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher stated she was unable to attend the Parks <br /> Board meeting. She announced that the final meeting with the consultants <br /> working on the Parks strategic plan would be held on March 29, 2016, at <br /> 6:00 p.m., Forest Park Spruce Hall. <br /> Vice President Tuohy announced that the Council Briefing Agenda Item <br /> No. 1 had been pulled from the agenda. She invited anyone in the <br /> audience who wished to speak on this item to do so under citizen <br /> comments. <br /> 81 <br />
