Optimum design capacity for new elementary schools is 550 students (FTE). However, <br />actual capacity of individual schools may vary depending on the educational programs <br />offered or housed at a particular school. <br />Educational Program Standards for Middle and High Schools <br />As a result of scheduling conflicts for student programs, the need for specialized rooms for <br />specific programs, and the need for teachers to have a workspace during planning periods, <br />it is not possible to achieve 100% utilization of teaching stations.
