Please provide structural framing plans to indicate how the upper residential units are <br /> supported on bearing walls, in addition to identifying shear walls. Framing plans and structural calculations should include the new toilet room and the <br /> new deck on the upper floor. The new deck has a higher live load, and the new toilet <br /> room has a higher dead load and live load. <br /> j 3. Occupancy separations on the code analysis should indicate if this is a non-separated or <br /> separated occupancy building, per IBC sections 508.2.4 and 508.3 <br /> Construction <br /> 1. Please submit floor plans indicating details of the required fire separations of the new <br /> bearing walls on the lower floor that support existing residential units on the second <br /> floor. <br /> a. New bearing walls (including walls built without permit approval) on the lower <br /> floor supporting second floor residential units should be shown with one hour <br /> rated construction on the drawings, per IBC section 707.5.1. <br /> b. New partitions should be detailed in section on the drawings, and located on the <br /> plans with targets to details. Where floor-ceiling assemblies are or have been <br /> modified, those modifications should also be shown on the drawings. <br /> i. Where ratings are required, the specific tested assembly number should <br /> be identified on the wall details. <br /> ii.
