March 7, 2018 <br /> Council Member McNeal reported on her attendance at the Green Everett <br /> Partnership work party last Saturday at Johnston-Kelly Park with View <br /> Ridge Elementary School students. <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a recap from the Budget Subcommittee <br /> meeting held earlier this evening. <br /> President Roberts reported on his attendance at the Westmont <br /> Neighborhood meeting. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Paul Kaftanski, Administration, had no report. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Julie Tyndall, Brian Tyndall, Emily Oshita, Kiera Oshita, Susanna Sajan, <br /> and Elizabeth Sajan, from St. Mary Magdalen School, spoke about plastic <br /> pollution and encouraged the City Council to ban single-use plastic bags in <br /> the City of Everett. <br /> J.T. Dray, Everett, spoke about the Everett Transit Long-Range Plan and <br /> expressed a concern about senior citizen ability to use city transportation. <br /> Gary Bousher, Everett, spoke about the utility billing process and expressed <br /> his concern with the water rate increase. He also asked council members <br /> to contact him regarding this matter. <br /> Paul Kaftanski, Administration, stated that Matt Welborn, Public Works <br /> Finance, spoke with Mr. Bousher and will contact him again to address his <br /> concern. <br /> 87 <br />
