LINE OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 24 TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER THEREOF; THENCE, WEST ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID NORTHWEST QUARTER TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER THEREOF; THENCE, NORTH ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 24 TO INTERSECT THE SOUTHEASTERLY LINE OF LOT 3, BLOCK 2, PLAT OF RANCHO INTERCITY ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN VOLUME 12 OF PLATS, PAGE 46, RECORDS OF SNOHOMISH COUNTY; THENCE, SOUTHWEST ALONG SAID SOUTHEASTERLY LINE TO THE SOUTHERLY MOST CORNER OF SAID LOT 3; THENCE, NORTHWESTERLY ALONG THE SOUTHWESTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 3 AND THE NORTHWESTERLY EXTENSION THEREOF TO INTERSECT THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF HOLLY DRIVE (AKA BEVERLY PARK-EDMONDS ROAD); THENCE NORTHEASTERLY ALONG SAID WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE TO INTERSECT THE EAST LINE OF THE WEST HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 24; THENCE, SOUTH ALONG SAID EAST LINE OF SAID SUBDIVISION OF SAID SECTION TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, TOGETHER WITH THE 108TH STREET SW RIGHT-OF-WAY. Section 2: That upon annexation of the property herein above set forth, said property thereof annexed shall become a part of the City of Everett, a municipal corporation, and shall be subject to all of its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force. Upon annexation of the above-described property, all of said property shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate on the same basis as other property located within the City of Everett is assessed and taxed, to pay for any then outstanding indebtedness of the City of Everett contracted prior. to or existing at the date of this annexation. In addition, the annexed area will remain responsible unto any other lawfully formed municipal corporation to which the property is obligated at the time of annexation subject to a specific lien. Further, the City of Everett may incur additional operating expenses in supplying water or sewage unto persons who are located within the annexed area. Accordingly, utility rates for the area for which annexation is petitioned may vary from those rated rom other areas within the City of Everett. Section 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Everett is hereby directed upon passage of the ordinance of annexation to deliver and to file with the Council of Snohomish County, the Snohomish County Auditor, and the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board, a certified copy of this ordinance of annexation.
