• <br /> 27 . Plat - The' map , or, representation of a subdivision, showing <br /> thereon ' the 'division of a tract or parcel of land into lots, <br /> blocks, streets and alleys or other divisions and dedications. <br /> 28. Preliminary Approval - An official action on a proposed <br /> subdivision or short subdivision that refers to placement of <br /> specific conditions which must be complied with before final <br /> approval may be granted. <br /> 29. Preliminary Short Plat ' or Plat - A neat and approximate drawing <br /> of a proposed subdivision or short subdivision, showing the <br /> general layout of streets, lots, blocks, existing and proposed <br /> easements, and other elements consistent with the requirements of <br /> this Ordinance. <br /> 30. Redivision - The division of land in an approved subdivision. <br /> 31. Request for Final Approval - A request made by the applicant for <br /> final approval of a division of land, when the applicant has <br /> completed all the requirements of preliminary approval. <br /> 32. Short Plat - The map or representation of a short subdivision, <br /> showing thereon the division of land into lots, blocks, streets <br /> and alleys or other divisions and dedications. <br /> 33. Short Subdivision - The division or redivision of land into nine <br /> (9) or fewer lots, tracts, parcels, sites or divisions for the <br /> purpose of sale, lease, or transfer of ownership. <br /> 34. Subdivision - The division or redivision of land into ten (10) or <br /> more lots, tracts, parcels, sites or divisions for the purpose of <br /> sale, lease, or transfer of ownership. <br /> 35. Subdivision and Short Subdivision Certificate - A report by a <br /> title insurance company certifying the title of lands as <br /> described and shown on the subdivision or short subdivision plat <br /> is in the name of the owners signing the plat map or Declaration <br /> of Ownership. <br /> 36. Suitable Guarantee - An acceptable guarantee to the City to <br /> insure performance and/or warranty of improvements. <br /> 37.
