Persons engaged in the retail sale
of raw produce shall be limited to one grinder having a prime move not
10 exceeding five horsepower for the processing of raw produce waste.
(1) Liquid matter containing daily maximum metal
11 concentrations in excess of 3.0 mg/1 of Copper, 3.0 mg/1 of Lead, 6.0 mg/1
of Zinc, 6.0 mg/i of Chromium, 6.0 mg/1 of Cadmium and 6.0 mg/1 of
12 Nickel. With respect to those metals listed above, the concentrations of
the industrial ions shall be reduced so that the combined amounts of the
13 subslimes do not exceed the following relationship:
14 Ccu+Cpb+Cni <
Lcu+Lpb+Lni 1
15
Where Ccu, Cpb, Cni use the measured concentrations of the toxic metals
16 and Lcu, Lpb, Lni are the respective permissable concentration limits.
(m) Radioactive waste.
17
(n) Any matter which, in the opinion of the Mayor, might
interfere with the satisfactory operation of any treatment plants or any
18 portion of the Sewer System.
19 In the event that sewage or other matter having or exceeding the
above characteristics is discharged into the sewer system, in addition to
20 other remedies, including criminal prosecution, the Public Works Director
shall issue a cease and desist order. Said costs shall be subject to adjustment in accordance
24 with the Utility Billing Supervisor's procedures.
25 In the event that the Public Works Director finds that excess
26 pollutant discharges of liquids containing suspended solids in excess of 250
parts per million or matter having a five day BOD in excess of 200 parts
27 per million or fats, oils and grease in excess of 50 ppm. may be continued
without impairing proper operation of the Everett sewage system, the
28 Public Works Director may issue an excess pollutant discharge permit and
establish charges therefor. Said permit shall be revocable at any time by
29 the Public Works Director upon finding that continued discharge of
sewage exceeding the above standards will impair operation of the
30 Everett sewer system at the time of sewer connection application. All
applicants intending to operate any industrial or manufacturing operations
31 shall submit data concerning type of wastewater discharges and the Public
Works Director shall consider issuance of an excess pollutant discharge
32 permit at that time.
-3-
