Nominal screw sizes shall be minimum#12 diameter(.210") <br /> 2. Self-drilling fasteners must penetrate beyond the panel facing a minimum of 3 pitches of thread <br /> 3. Fasteners may be spaced no closer than 12"on center along any direction. <br /> 4. Allowable design loads provided in the table on the following page are applicable to 26 gauge, <br /> 24 gauge and 22 gauge facings. <br /> Ceilings <br /> 1. Fastener spacing shall be designed based on the allowable fastener pullout values given in the <br /> table on the following page. <br /> 2. If the design load exceeds the allowable load, fasteners shall be fastened through entire <br /> thickness of panel into a backer support to resist equipment dead load. <br /> 3. Larger collateral loads including, but not limited to, HVAC, ductwork or sprinklers must be <br /> directly supported by the building framing and not by the ceiling panels. <br /> 4.
