ORDINANCE NO./073 -Y1/ AN ORDINANCE creating a special construction fund entitled Kasch Park Construction Fund No. 342 and authorizing the development of recreational facilities on a 60-acre tract of land acquired by the City of Everett from the General Services Administration, now generally known as the Kasch Memorial Park . WHEREAS, the City has negotiated with and committed to, the General Services Administration, in its agreement for acquisition of a 60-acre tract of land, to provide for the development of recreational facilities for the citizens of Everett; and WHEREAS, the City has formalized its recognition of this parcel by naming it the Kasch Memorial Park ; and WHEREAS, the City has appropriated funds in Ordinance 689-80 , amended by Ordinance 903-82 and repealed and replaced by Ordinance 983-83, for park development; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL THAT: Section 1 : A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund 342 , entitled "Kasch Park Construction Fund" , to accomplish the action authorized in subsequent sections of this ordinance. Section 2 : This ordinance shall supercede and render obsolete Ordinance 983-82 which is hereby repealed. Section 3 : This ordinance shall authorize the development of multi-purpose recreational facilities and shall appropriate funds for the accomplishment of this project on the 60-acre tract known as Kasch Memorial Park . Section 4 : The total estimated cost of the improvements herein authorized is $630 , 000 , which will include all costs related to site preparation and project construction.
