1 B. If a pawnbroker or secondhand dealer has good cause to believe that any <br /> 2 property in his or her possession has been previously lost or stolen, the pawnbroker or <br /> 3 secondhand dealer shall promptly report that fact to the applicable Chief of Police or <br /> 4 the County's chief law enforcement officer, together with the name of the owner, if <br /> 5 known, and the date when, and the name of the person from whom it was received. <br /> 6 Section 7: CONSIGNMENT. <br /> 7 A. Property bought or received on consignment by a secondhand dealer with <br /> 8 a permanent place of business in the City shall not be removed from that place of <br /> 9 business, except consigned property returned to the owner, within fifteen days after the <br /> 10 receipt of the property. Property shall at all times during the ordinary hours of <br /> 11 business be open to inspection to any commissioned law enforcement officer of the <br /> 12 state or any of its political subdivisions who is accompanied by an Everett Police <br /> 13 Department representative. <br /> 14 B. Property bought or received on consignment in the City of Everett by a <br /> 15 secondhand dealer without a permanent place of business in the City of Everett shall be <br /> 16 held within the City of Everett, except consigned property returned to the owner for <br /> 17 fifteen days after receipt of the property. The property shall be available for <br /> 18 inspection at reasonable times by any commissioned law enforcement officer of the <br /> 19 state or any of its political subdivisions who is accompanied by an Everett Police <br /> 20 Department representative. <br /> 21 Section 8: PAWNBROKERS--REMOVAL OF PROPERTY FROM PLACE OF <br /> 22 BUSINESS. Property bought or received in pledge by any pawnbroker shall not be <br /> 23 removed from that place of business, except when redeemed by the bearer of a pawn <br /> 24 ticket within fifteen days after the receipt of the property. Property shall at all times <br /> 25 during the ordinary hours of business be open to inspection to any commissioned law <br /> 26 enforcement officer of the state or any of its political subdivisions who is accompanied <br /> 27 by an Everett Police Department representative. <br /> 28 Section 9: PAWNBROKERS--INTEREST. <br /> 29 A. All pawnbrokers are authorized to charge and receive interest and other <br /> 30 fees at the following rates for money loaned on the security of personal property <br /> 31 actually received in pledge. The interest charged shall not exceed the rules set forth in <br /> 32 RCW 19.60.060 as it now reads or is hereinafter amended. <br /> -5- <br />
