ag 6- 3/ 1 ORDINANCE NO. /Q 3 /-pt- 2 -pf2 AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1025-84 which adopted interim 3 zoning for adult entertainment facilities. 4 5 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Council adopted Ordinance No. 1025-84 6 restricting adult entertainment facilities to a certain C-2 zone for an interim period; 7 and 8 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the area defined in Ordinance No. 9 1025-84 for adult entertainment facilities needs to be further reduced for the interim 10 period; 11 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 12 Section 1: That Section 2(B)(1) of Ordinance No. 1025-84 which reads as 13 follows: 14 "B. REQUIREMENTS. 15 1. Adult entertainment facilities shall only be permitted within the 16 City within the C-2 zone and not within any other zone. They shall 17 be a permitted use within the C-2 zone provided the following requirements are met: 18 a. The adult entertainment facility is located within an area 19 which is zoned C-2; 20 b. The adult entertainment facility is not located closer than four hundred feet (400') to another adult entertainment facility whether such facility is located within or outside 21 the City limits. Such distance shall be measured by 22 following a straight line from the nearest point of public entry into the structure which will house the proposed adult 23 entertainment facility to the nearest point of public entry into the structure housing another adult entertainment 24 facility; 25 c. The adult entertainment facility is not located within the area circumscribed by a circle which has a radius consisting 26 of the following distances from the following specified uses or zones: 27 1. Within two thousand feet (2,000') of any single family 28 residential zone; 29 2. Within eight hundred feet (800') of any multiple family residential zone; 30 3. Within one thousand six hundred feet (1,600') of any 31 public or private school; 32
