, . (3 ) . "Competitive telephone service" means the providing by any person of telephone equipment , apparatus, or service, other than toll service, which is of a type which can be provided by persons that are not subject to regulation as telephone companies under Title 80 RCW and for which a separate charge is made. C. Upon every person engaged in or carrying on the sale of artificial , natural , or mixed gasses, a tax equal to four percent ( 4 % ) of the total gross revenues derived from the operation of such business within the City of Everett, which shall be paid monthly on or before the 20th day of the following month. D. Upon every person engaged in or carrying on the sale of electrical power , a tax equal to four percent ( 4 % ) of the total gross revenues derived from the sale of electricity within the City of Everett , exclusive of revenues derived from the sale of electricity for purposes of resale, which shall be paid monthly on or before the 20th day of the following month. Section 2 : Repeal : Section 5 of Ordinance 2711, Ordinance 3272, Ordinance 3644, Ordinance 4019, Ordinance 4169, Ordinance 391-76, Ordinance 815-81 , and Ordinance 904-82 are hereby repealed. Section 3 : Effective date. This Ordinance shall take effect on July 1 , 1984 , and the taxes provided for in this ordinance shall be effective and applicable for all gross revenue received on and after July 1 , 1984 . Section 4 : Application.
