A design for the lateral force resisting system of the two-story addition, as well as the <br /> remodeled existing portion of the house must be provided. All siding must be removed <br /> so that inspection of all required anchors, straps and nailing may be inspected. In lieu of <br /> the removal of all of the siding, a report, prepared by an engineer licensed by the State <br /> of Washington may be submitted for review and approval showing that the lateral force <br /> resisting system can be made to be compliant with current adopted codes. <br /> Enclosed please find a permit application and plan submission checklist.
