1 B. No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in a parking space reserved 2 for physically disabled persons provided on public property without a special license 3 plate, card, or decal issued pursuant to RCW 46.16.380. In addition to assessing the 4 penalty identified in Section 26 of this Ordinance, the Police Department may remove 5 and impound the offending vehicle. 6 C. A parking space or stall for a physically disabled person shall be identified 7 by: 8 1. A painted white line on the improved surface delineating the perimeter of 9 the parking space or stall; and 10 2. A traffic parking control sign per City standards; and 11 3. A legend of the "international symbol of access" described in RCW 12 70.92.120 shall be painted on the surface of the stall in white per City standards. 13 Section 8: Parking for Disabled Persons - Private Property. 14 Parking for disabled persons on private property may be regulated on private 15 property in accordance with those provisions authorized by law including, but not 16 limited to, RCW 46.52.1192. 17 Section 9: Parking for Certain Purposes Prohibited. 18 A. No person shall park any vehicle upon any street or alley for the principal 19 purpose of: 20 1. Displaying of commercial or noncommercial signs; 21 2. Displaying such vehicle for sale; 22 3. Selling merchandise from such vehicle, except when authorized by 23 the City Clerk. 24 B. No person shall park any vehicle upon any roadway for the principal 25 purpose of washing, greasing, or repairing such vehicle except repairs necessitated by 26 an emergency. 27 Section 10: Standing in Passenger Loading Zone. 28 No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle for any purpose or period of time 29 other than for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers in any place marked as 30 31 32 -11-
