The Contractor shall develop a schedule for implementation of <br /> the TESC work and incorporate it into the Contractor's progress schedule. <br /> At the request of the Engineer updated TESC Plans shall be prepared and <br /> provided to the City. <br /> 8-01.3(1)B Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Lead <br /> Revise the second and third paragraphs in 8-01.3(1)B to read as follows: <br /> The ESC Lead shall implement the TESC Plan. Implementation shall include, <br /> but is not limited to: <br /> 1. Installing and maintaining all temporary erosion and sediment <br /> control Best Management Practices (BMPs) included in the TESC <br /> Plan to assure continued performance of their intended function. <br /> Damaged or inadequate TESC BMP's shall be corrected <br /> immediately. <br /> 2. Updating the TESC Plan to reflect current field conditions. <br /> 3. Develop and maintain the Site Log Book as defined in the CSWGP. <br /> As a part of the Site Log Book, the Contractor shall develop and <br /> maintain a BMP tracking table to show that identified TESC <br /> compliance issues are fully resolved within 10 calendar days. The <br /> table shall include the date an issue was identified, a description of <br /> how it was resolved, and the date the issue was fully resolved. <br /> The ESC Lead shall also inspect all areas disturbed by construction activities, <br /> all on-site erosion and sediment control BMP's, and all stormwater discharge <br /> points at least once every calendar week and within 24-hours of runoff events <br /> in which stormwater discharges from the site. Inspections of temporarily <br /> stabilized, inactive sites may be reduced to once every calendar month. <br /> 8-01.3(2) Seeding, Fertilizing, and Mulching , <br /> 8-01.3(2)A Preparation For Application <br /> Revise the third sentence in the first paragraph in 8-01.3(2)A to read as follows: <br /> Cultivate seeding restoration areas no sooner than one week prior to seeding. <br /> Supplement 8-01.3(2)A by adding the following: <br /> All areas to be seeded shall be raked or similarly treated so as to provide a <br /> smooth, consistent, friable surface, acceptable for seeding as determined by <br /> the Engineer. <br /> All areas to be seeded shall be free of all visible clods, rocks and debris <br /> measuring one-inch or larger in any dimension. Any exposed tree roots in cut <br /> slopes shall be cut neatly and protected. <br /> Cultivate areas being restored to a depth of 4-inches. <br /> 8-01.3(2)B Seeding and Fertilizing <br /> Supplement 8-01.3(2)B by adding the following: <br /> Use hydroseeding application method where feasible, uniformly apply a slurry <br /> of seed, fertilizer, mulch and water over all disturbed areas unless shown <br /> otherwise on the Plans. <br /> Use Seed Mix #1, as specified in 9-14.2 of these Special Provisions in <br /> restoring areas not having established lawns.
