April 4, 2018 <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Paul Kaftanski, Interim Public Works Director, provided an update on the <br /> operational and organizational assessment of the Public Works <br /> Department. Mr. Kaftanski stated a full Council briefing to discuss a <br /> potential contract and scope of work would be scheduled to occur in early <br /> May with potential action occurring by mid-May. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session, anticipated to last no <br /> longer than 15 minutes, concerning a legal matter pursuant to RCW <br /> 42.30.110(1)(i)(c) with no announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Mary Fosse and Molly Deardorff, Delta Neighborhood Association, spoke <br /> regarding the Riverview apartments project. They requested a two-week <br /> extension of the public comment window, a policy review of the 150-foot <br /> notice requirement, and communication to developers to work with <br /> surrounding neighborhood associations. <br /> Allan Giffen, Planning, stated he would look into an extension of the <br /> comment period. <br /> Jason Burt and Schuyler Lifscultz, Everett; and Maggie Mae, Lynnwood, <br /> spoke about the litigation relating to the Everett dress code for bikini <br /> baristas. <br /> Paula Townsell, Everett, spoke in support of the comments made by Mary <br /> Fosse and Molly Deardorff. She also provided suggestions for improving <br /> the SEPA notification process. <br /> President Roberts stated the Council would work with Administration, as <br /> well as look at the notification processes used by other communities. <br /> 112 <br />
