CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> All areas to be seeded shall be free of all visible clods, rocks and debris <br /> measuring one-inch or larger in any dimension. Any exposed tree roots in cut <br /> slopes shall be cut neatly and protected. <br /> Cultivate areas being restored to a depth of 4-inches. <br /> 8-01.3(2)B Seeding and Fertilizing <br /> Supplement 8-01.3(2)B by adding the following: <br /> Use hydroseeding application method where feasible, uniformly apply a slurry <br /> of seed, fertilizer, mulch and water over all disturbed areas unless shown <br /> otherwise on the Plans. <br /> Use Seed Mix #1, as specified in 9-14.2 of these Special Provisions in <br /> restoring areas not having established lawns. Use Seed Mix #2 or #3, as <br /> specified in 9-14.2 of these Special Provisions, for restoring areas with <br /> established lawns. <br /> Apply permanent seed mixture #1 and #2 uniformly over the areas being <br /> restored at a rate of 4-pounds per 1,000 square feet. <br /> Apply permanent seed mixture #3 uniformly over the areas being restored at <br /> a rate of 7-pounds per 1,000 square feet. <br /> Apply temporary seed mixture uniformly over the areas being restored at a <br /> rate of 2-pounds per 1,000 square feet. <br /> Apply fertilizer at a rate of 12 pounds per 1,000 square feet. For <br /> hydroseeding application, incorporate the fertilizer into the seed, mulch and <br /> water slurry and apply in accordance with these Special Provisions. <br /> 8-01.3(2)C Seeding and Fertilizing <br /> Supplement 8-01.3(2)C by adding the following: <br /> No liming application is required. <br /> 8-01.3(2)D Mulching <br /> Supplement 8-01.3(2)D by adding the following: <br /> Apply wood cellulose fiber at the rate of 60 pounds per 1,000 square feet. <br /> 8-01.3(8) Street Cleaning ' <br /> Delete 8-01.3(8) and substitute the following: <br /> Provide self-propelled pickup sweepers equipped with water spray systems for <br /> dust control and designed and operated to meet air quality standards for <br /> pavement cleaning and debris removal as required. The use of supplementary <br /> water to suppress dust while performing cleaning Work shall be held to a minimum <br /> unless designated otherwise by the Engineer. <br /> Plan construction operation to minimize the need for street cleaning. <br /> Sweep streets and roadways as needed at least once per day. Sweep all roadway <br /> areas subject to construction traffic within the Project area and connecting streets, <br /> preferably during non-peak use hours of the Project site. More frequent cleaning <br /> may be required, as directed by the City's Inspector, as conditions warrant. <br /> Clean up spills immediately. Failure to clean streets or spills as required will result <br /> in City procuring street cleaning services, or cleaning streets themselves at City <br /> overtime rates. Either way, Contractor shall be responsible for reimbursing the City <br /> for cost incurred.
