1 1 <br /> 2 Seeding may be allowed outside these dates when allowed or directed by the Engineer. <br /> 1 3 <br /> 4 8-01.3(5) Plastic Covering <br /> 5 The first sentence of the first paragraph is revised to read: <br /> I 6 <br /> 7 Erosion Control — Plastic coverings used to temporarily cover stockpiled materials, <br /> 8 slopes or bare soils shall be installed and maintained in a way that prevents water from <br /> I 9 intruding under the plastic and prevents the plastic cover from being damaged by wind. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 8-01.3(7) Stabilized Construction Entrance <br /> I 12 The first paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Temporary stabilized construction entrance shall be constructed in accordance with the <br /> I 15 Standard Plans, prior to construction vehicles entering the roadway from locations that <br /> 16 generate sediment track out on the roadway. Material used for stabilized construction <br /> 17 entrance shall be free of extraneous materials that may cause or contribute to track out. <br /> 18 <br /> I <br /> 19 8-01.3(8) Street Cleaning <br /> 20 This section is revised to read: <br /> 21 <br /> 1 22 Self-propelled pickup street sweepers shall be used to remove and collect dirt and other <br /> 23 debris from the Roadway. The street sweeper shall effectively collect these materials <br /> 24 and prevent them from being washed or blown off the Roadway or into waters of the <br /> I 25 State. Street sweepers shall not generate fugitive dust and shall be designed and <br /> 26 operated in compliance with applicable air quality standards. Material collected by the <br /> 27 street sweeper shall be disposed of in accordance with Section 2-03.3(7)C. <br /> I 28 <br /> 29 When allowed by the Engineer, power broom sweepers may be used in non- <br /> 30 environmentally sensitive areas. The broom sweeper shall sweep dirt and other debris <br /> I 31 from the roadway into the work area. The swept material shall be prevented from <br /> 32 entering or washing into waters of the State. <br /> 33 <br /> I 34 Street washing with water will require the concurrence of the Engineer. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 8-01.3(12) Compost Socks <br /> 37 The first two sentences of the first paragraph are revised to read: <br /> I 38 <br /> 39 Compost socks are used to disperse flow and sediment. Compost socks shall be <br /> 40 installed as soon as construction will allow but before flow conditions create erosive <br /> I 41 flows or discharges from the site.
