Material used for stabilized construction 17 entrance shall be free of extraneous materials that may cause or contribute to track out. 18 I 19 8-01.3(8) Street Cleaning 20 This section is revised to read: 21 1 22 Self-propelled pickup street sweepers shall be used to remove and collect dirt and other 23 debris from the Roadway. The street sweeper shall effectively collect these materials 24 and prevent them from being washed or blown off the Roadway or into waters of the I 25 State. Street sweepers shall not generate fugitive dust and shall be designed and 26 operated in compliance with applicable air quality standards. Material collected by the 27 street sweeper shall be disposed of in accordance with Section 2-03.3(7)C. I 28 29 When allowed by the Engineer, power broom sweepers may be used in non- 30 environmentally sensitive areas. The broom sweeper shall sweep dirt and other debris I 31 from the roadway into the work area. The swept material shall be prevented from 32 entering or washing into waters of the State. 33 I 34 Street washing with water will require the concurrence of the Engineer. 35 36 8-01.3(12) Compost Socks 37 The first two sentences of the first paragraph are revised to read: I 38 39 Compost socks are used to disperse flow and sediment. Compost socks shall be 40 installed as soon as construction will allow but before flow conditions create erosive I 41 flows or discharges from the site.
