<br /> The unit price for foundation material shall include all costs of furnishing, hauling,
<br /> stockpiling, placing, grading and compacting the material in place.
<br /> The unit price for this bid item includes all costs for dewatering and over-excavation,
<br /> removal and disposal of unsuitable material below the pipe zone or roadway subgrade, and
<br /> shall be full compensation for all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary including
<br /> haul and tipping fees to dispose of the material.
<br /> Bid Item 17 - Temporary Roadway Patch
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) I
<br /> No measurement will be made for the lump sum item Temporary Roadway Patch.
<br /> Payment for the lump sum item Temporary Roadway Patch shall be a one-time lump sum
<br /> regardless of how many times Temporary Roadway Patch is placed, removed, replaced, or
<br /> relocated. The lump sum price shall be full compensation for all labor, material, tools and
<br /> equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the Work as defined in the Standard
<br /> Specifications, 5-06.3(6) of these Special Provisions and as shown on the Plans. 1
<br /> Bid Item 18 - Relocate Existing Water Main, 4-Inch Diam.
<br /> Bid Item 19 - Relocate Existing Water Main, 6-Inch Diam. I
<br /> Bid Item 20 - Relocate Existing Water Main, 8-Inch Diam.
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot I
<br /> The unit contract price for Relocate Existing Water Main, _-Inch Diam., shall constitute full
<br /> compensation for all labor, bedding and backfill materials, tools and equipment necessary,
<br /> required for complete installation along the run of each pipe size, as shown on the Plans
<br /> and specified herein, and additionally, shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
<br /> 1. Unit contract price shall include all coordination efforts with the City and assistance as
<br /> City forces will provide pipe material, fittings, couplings and mechanical restraint
<br /> systems and install, disinfect and test the pipe for the water main relocation and make
<br /> the connection to the existing system.
<br /> 2. Removal of structures or obstructions not specifically covered under other Bid Items.
<br /> This shall include, but not be limited to, removal and disposal of the existing thrust
<br /> blocks, miscellaneous landscaping, and sod as indicated on the Plans.
<br /> 3. Trench excavation and dewatering, furnishing, placing and compacting sand backfill for
<br /> pipe bedding, furnishing, placing and compacting suitable native material for trench
<br /> backfill and placing and compacting imported backfill material. No extra payment shall
<br /> be made for removing, loading, hauling, and disposing of displaced and unsuitable
<br /> material.
<br /> 4. Steel sheeting for covering open excavations left overnight to protect public from injury
<br /> and property damage.
<br /> 5. Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of culverts, storm drainage
<br /> pipe, other utilities and structures affected by construction that are to remain.
<br /> 6. Temporary and permanent thrust blocking and dead man blocks.
<br /> 7. Ethafoam pads or sand backfill between water main and other pipes.
<br /> 111
<br /> 8. Maintenance of existing water main and provisions for interim water service.
<br /> 9. Extra depth, including excavation, backfill and compaction required to clear known
<br /> buried utilities or other known obstacles.
<br /> 10. The costs for pot-holing and excavation required to determine exact depths and
<br /> locations of other utilities shall be included with this Work with no direct compensation
<br /> made.
