Electric Guard Dog, a <br /> private company,requested that the City initiate consideration of an amendment to the City's Zoning and <br /> Building Code regulations to allow for the installation of electric fences for security purposes for certain <br /> installations on commercial or industrial properties. . Based on the Planning Commission's consideration of <br /> the proposed amendment to the City's fence electric fence regulations, it recommends that the City Council <br /> amend the Everett Municipal Code to allow electric fences in nonresidential zones with certain restrictions <br /> through Review Process II,which requires notice to surrounding property owners. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Adopt an Ordinance Amending the City's regulations for Electric Fences,Amending Section 39 of <br /> Ordinance No. 1671-89, as amended(EMC 19.39.070); Section 3(B) of Chapter 4 of Ordinance No. <br /> 2530-01, as amended (EMC 15.16.080.A); and Section 1 of Ord. 4022, as amended(EMC 16.56.010). <br /> 3 <br />
