The bid price offered was significantly higher than the published <br /> cost estimate and the single bidder was ineligible to receive Federal Transit Administration(FTA)funds <br /> under FTA administrative rules. In a separate action, staff recommended rejecting Bid ITB 2017-066. <br /> In review with potential bidders,it was determined that a combined project for repair and brick restoration <br /> would be more attractive as it could allow for repair and restoration work to be done simultaneously where <br /> feasible.
