CA 14.
ENGINEERING / PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT
October 10,2007
Peter Popov
2728 104th PL SE
Everett, WA 98208
Project: Retaining Wall
Job Address: 4841 Glenwood Ave
Permit No: C0601-007
Dear Mr. Popov;
In response to your application for a revised construction permit, your plans have been
examined and you are advised that a permit cannot be issued until the following issues
are resolved. These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or
additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All
references refer to the 2006 International Residential Code(IRC), as amended by the
State of Washington.
In order for the processing of your application to continue,it will be necessary to
provide the Building Division with two sets of drawings reflecting the corrections
requested.
On or before October 4, 2007 City of Everett inspection staff witnessed the un-permitted
construction(form work) of a concrete retaining wall attached to the East side of your
building. At that time, they directed you to stop work and apply for a construction permit
for the wall. We received revised plans and engineering calculations for the wall on
October 8. At the time of submittal, the concrete had already been poured-without
approval or inspection.
On October 9th, I visited the site to gage the condition of the wall. It was noted that the
wall as constructed does not follow the submitted design of Mitchell Engineering dated
8/25/07. Per Section R113 there are two options:
CITY OF EVERETT•3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8800 • Fax(425)257-8856
