May 9, 2018 <br /> Council Member Stonecipher provided a liaison report on her attendance <br /> at the Parks Board meeting last evening. She announced there would be <br /> three public forums relating to proposed swim fee adjustments: Tuesday, <br /> May 19, noon-1:30 p.m.; Thursday, May 21, 5-7 p.m.; and Tuesday, <br /> June 9, 6 p.m., Spruce Hall at Forest Park. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher requested a future Council briefing on the <br /> work of the Streets Initiative Task Force. <br /> Council Member Murphy congratulated the Everett Silvertips for winning <br /> the U. S. Division this year, and he encouraged citizens to attend a game. <br /> President Roberts welcomed representatives from the Washington State <br /> Department of Health Office of Drinking Water (ODW) who were present <br /> to award Everett water utility's Chief Water Treatment Plant Operator Mark <br /> Weeks with the Washington State Department of Health's Lifetime <br /> Achievement Award. <br /> Mark Sadler, City Interim Operations Superintendent, spoke about Mr. <br /> Weeks' many contributions and career-long commitment to water quality. <br /> Bob James, DOH Northwest Regional Manager, presented Mr. Weeks' <br /> with his award. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Paul Kaftanski, Administration, had no report. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> James Wlos, Seattle, spoke about the challenges faced by families when <br /> vehicle homes are impounded. <br /> 148 <br />
