Online:
• Purchase online advertising with Seattle Times, The Herald, and Facebook.
• Prepare and distribute e-newsletters advertising upcoming performances to
be emailed to our email database of over 3,000 patrons.
• Provide event listings to community events calendars and websites
throughout the Puget Sound area.
• Produce video clips of our rehearsals and/or performances to stream online
to increase potential audience excitement.
Other:
• Utilize banner advertising in Edmonds that is visible to ferry traffic to and
from the Kingston. Banner advertising will include street banners displayed
on high traffic Edmonds streets (5th&Elm and 8th&Caspers) and fence
banners displayed on two prominent downtown Edmonds streets, Main St
and Dayton.
• Promote Nutcracker performances on Classical KING FM.•
Use Alderwood Mall advertising with backlit ad displays.
Who will benefit:
• Local hotels, motels, restaurants, performance venues, and retail
establishments. Olympic Ballet performances attract visitors to Everett and
Edmonds. Local businesses benefit by our performances, as during
performances they ensure a regular flow of visitors to the city. As Olympic
Ballet performances draw visitors from out of city and out of county,
performances help generate stays from these visitors as well as from rs
Olympic Ballet performers who may need to travel to make dress
rehearsals and performances. Stays are confirmed by online survey offered
on our ticketing site.
• Everett Residents. Everett residents benefit from the added quality of life
that productions bring, and local businesses benefit from added traffic to the
area.
• Everett Visitors. Olympic Ballet ads help draw visitors from outside of
Everett who are seeking affordable and enjoyable performances.
• Young dancers, professional artists choreographers, scenic
designers, and costume designers in the Puget Sound Area. These
groups benefit from the local collaboration and work OBTprovides.
Project beginning and end dates:
The promotional side of the project will begin in January of 2018 with designing
advertising and promotional materials for 2018 performances. Materials will be
distributed throughout the years, primarily 2+ months before productions. The
project will conclude in December 2018 after our last performance ends, where we
will evaluate success and report results.
Evaluating success:
Olympic Ballet's methods of evaluating success include:
• An assessment of overall ticket sales and attendance. OBT will obtain
numbers from house managers at each venue plus demographic and
marketing data from a custom-designed ticket program.
5
