Unfortunately, the location you have proposed which is about 600 feet from our meter does not do an adequate job in protecting our system from the private system which is affectively a dead end with little water consumption. I have tried to depict the Water Department's preferred location on the attached drawing.They think there would be room to place the vault alongside the Riverside Rd. It may be a good idea to meet on site with Jim Spooner to ascertain the feasibility of this location. Please get in touch with Jim to see if he will work out a field meeting with you/the contractor/owner representative.
