• <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. 167-f. <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing the City of Everett Emergency Medical <br /> 3 Services Advisory Board and repealing Section 7 of Ordinance No. <br /> 282-74. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 WHEREAS, on April 6, 1982, the citizens of the City of Everett approved a <br /> 7 property tax levy of $.25 per $1,000 to accomplish an emergency medical services <br /> 8 program including paramedic services; and <br /> 9 WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council wish to involve representative citizens <br /> 10 and representatives of governmental agencies who will work with the medical <br /> 11 community in providing the paramedic and emergency medical services program; and <br /> 12 WHEREAS, the formation of an Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board will <br /> 13 assist the City in providing emergency medical services including paramedic services; <br /> 14 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 15 Section 1: The Mayor of the City of Everett shall appoint an Emergency <br /> 16 Medical Services Advisory Board composed of the following: <br /> 17 1. One cardiac physician. <br /> 18 2. One emergency room physician. <br /> 19 3. A representative of the Joint Hospital Planning Committee. <br /> 20 4. One representative of the City of Everett Administration. <br /> 21 5. One representative of the Everett City Council (either an elected member <br /> 22 of the Council or an appointee by the Everett City Council). <br /> 23 6. One representative from Snohomish County. <br /> 24 7. One surgeon appointed by the combined medical staff. <br /> 25 8. The City's Medical Advisor. <br /> 26 9. Three citizens at large. <br /> 27 All members of the Committee may serve an initial term of six (6) years and <br /> 28 may be appointed for a succeeding term of six (6) years provided that the member <br /> 29 continues to represent the group or agency intended above to be represented. <br /> 313 Section 2: The Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board shall prepare and <br /> 31 recommend to the Mayor and City Council and whatever other regulatory bodies as <br /> 32 <br />
