• 1 necessary, standards, regulations and procedures relating to emergency medical 2 services including paramedic services for their adoption by the City of Everett and shall 3 review these standards, regulations and procedures at least annually to keep them up to 4 date. 5 Section 3: The Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board shall elect a 6 Chairman from amongst its members to establish procedural rules and regulations for 7 conduct of its business and shall meet at least quarterly, or more as necessary, and shall 8 take permanent minutes of all meetings to record actions taken. 9 Section 4: The purposes and objectives of the Emergency Medical Services 10 Advisory Board shall be to prepare and recommend to the Mayor and Everett City 11 Council detailed proposals as necessary for the training of paramedics and the 12 incorporation of paramedic services into the emergency medical services program 13 available to the citizens of the City of Everett and may advise on and/or review the 14 budget for Emergency Medical Services, including paramedic services. In the event of 15 disputes concerning provision of emergency medical services or paramedic services in 16 the City of Everett, the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board shall be 17 empowered to investigate matters and/or disputes involving emergency medical 18 services including paramedic services and recommend to the Mayor and City Council 19 and/or to the medical community at large, including the doctors and the hospitals, 20 possible solutions to problems encountered in the provision of emergency medical 21 services including paramedic services within the City or the reasonable service area of 22 the City. 23 Section 5: Section 7 of Ordinance No. 282-74 is hereby repealed. 24 25 26 MAYOR - P`eo-7�in 27 ATTEST: 411) 28 im Jo. /40311/4 29 CITY CLERK 30 Passed: ‘- <F. 31 Valid: 6 - '�- f..2, 32 Published: '- 7- 1.2.
