Section 4: For the purposes of providing funds for said <br /> emergency medical care and services, there is hereby imposed an <br /> additional regular property tax levy in an amount equal to a <br /> maximum of twenty-five cents ($ . 25) per thousand dollars ($1, 000) <br /> or less, as determined by City Council, of the assessed value of <br /> property in the City each year commencing January 1, 1983, and <br /> for six consecutive years thereafter in an amount of a maximum <br /> of twenty-five cents ($ . 25) per thousand of assessed value of <br /> property in the City or less as determined yearly by City Council <br /> or necessary in accordance with constitutional and statutory <br /> limitations on property tax collections . Appropriations of <br /> proceeds from this levy shall be subject to the limitations of <br /> RCW 84 . 52 . 069 . <br /> Section 5: For the purpose of financing the purchase of required <br /> emergency vehicles, a reserve account has been created in Equip- <br /> ment Rental Fund No. 501. Fund No. 153 will make monthly payments <br /> to this account in amounts calculated to meet future replacement <br /> costs over the life cycle of the vehicles . <br /> Section 6 : For the purpose of financing the purchase of required <br /> medical equipment, a reserve account has been created in Equip- <br /> ment Rental Fund No. 501. Fund No. 153 will make monthly payments <br /> to this account in amounts calculated to meet future replacement <br /> costs over the life cycles of the equipment. <br /> Section 7: The City Treasurer of the City of Everett is hereby <br /> authorized to negotiate a reasonable rate of interest and issue <br /> interest bearing revenue warrants and/or take out interfund <br /> loans to satisfy interim operating and capital acquisition costs <br /> not to exceed $3 , 728 , 458 . These interest bearing warrants and/or <br /> interfund loans shall be redeemed by the Treasurer as soon as <br /> reimbursements , as described elsewhere in this ordinance, are <br /> received. <br /> Section 8 : That the sum of $383, 847 . 00 be appropriated in the <br /> following manner: <br /> A. Appropriation, Fund 153 - Emergency Medical Services Fund <br /> 1. Program 242 - Provide Emergency Medical Services <br /> Original appropriation, Ordinance 821-81 $ - 0 - <br /> Amended by this appropriation 383, 847 . 00 <br /> New Program Total $ 383 , 847 . 00 <br /> B. Source of Funds <br /> Fund 153 - Emergency Medical Services Property <br /> Tax Levy <br /> - 2 - <br />
