1 "The charge for a temporary and/or construction service shall be the cost <br /> of installation, removal and materials. Credit will be given for a meter <br /> 2 only when there is no damage to the meter. The amount of the estimated <br /> cost of the temporary and/or construction service must be deposited in <br /> 3 advance in the Cashier's office." <br /> 4 <br /> shall be amended to read hereafter as follows: <br /> 5 <br /> 6 "The charge for a temporary and/or construction service shall be the cost <br /> of installation, removal and materials. Credit will be given for a meter <br /> 7 and meter box only when there is no damage to the meter and meter box. <br /> The amount of the estimated cost of the temporary and/or construction <br /> 8 service must be deposited in advance in the Building Department." <br /> 9 <br /> Section 2: Section 17 of Ordinance No. 4085 (EMC 14.16.200) which reads as <br /> 10 <br /> follows: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 "Only authorized employees of the Water Department shall be allowed to <br /> tap any water main and install service pipes between the water main and <br /> 13 the service cock or meter, or to connect pipes where they have been <br /> disconnected, or to shut water off or turn water on to any premises." <br /> 14 <br /> 15 shall be amended to read hereafter as follows: <br /> 16 <br /> "Only authorized employees of the Water Department shall be allowed to <br /> 17 tap existing water mains and install service pipes between the water main <br /> and the service cock or meter, or to connect pipes where they have been <br /> 18 disconnected, or to shut water off or turn water on to any premises." <br /> 19 <br /> Section 3: Section lA of Ordinance No. 482-77 (EMC 14.16.290A) which reads <br /> 20 <br /> as follows: <br /> 21 <br /> 22 "A. Service pipe material. Type "K" copper or ultra-high molecular <br /> weight high density iron pipe size polyethylene or polybutylene, <br /> 23 approved by the National Sanitation Foundation and meeting all <br /> applicable standards of ASTM and IAPMO only, shall be the service <br /> 24 pipe material used between the main and the service cock or <br /> meter, for three-fourth-inch, one inch and two inch service <br /> 25 connections. Galvanized malleable iron, galvanized wrought iron <br /> or steel, lined and coated steel or lined cast iron pipe only shall be <br /> 26 used for service pipe material between the main and the meter for <br /> services larger than two inches in diameter. The service pipe <br /> 27 material on the customer's side of the service cock or meter may <br /> be any material permitted in the plumbing code of the City." <br /> 28 <br /> 29 shall be amended to read hereafter as follows: <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -2- <br />
