• <br /> 1 installed complete by a developer or local improvement district. Such <br /> sum shall be used to complete the necessary records and accounting for <br /> 2 the new service. If a service of a different size or type than that <br /> previously installed is needed, then the individual requiring the new <br /> 3 service will have to purchase the new service at the standard rate then <br /> charged by the Water Department. If a meter and/or meter box was not <br /> 4 included in the original development, then the property owner must <br /> purchase these at the time the building permit is requested." <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Section 7: Section 49 of Ordinance No. 4085 (EMC 14.16.510) which reads as <br /> 7 follows: <br /> 8 <br /> "All fire service connections shall be installed by and remain the propety of <br /> 9 the Water Department. The expense for all labor, materials and equip- <br /> ment rental required for tapping mains, making connections, placing <br /> 10 valves, meters or any other protective device deemed necesary by the <br /> Superintendent to prevent the unauthorized use of water, including the <br /> 11 testing of completed work, shall be paid by the customer." <br /> 12 <br /> shall be amended to read hereafter as follows: <br /> 13 <br /> 14 "All fire service connections shall be installed by and remain the property <br /> of the Water Department unless otherwise authorized by the Water <br /> 15 Superintendent. The expense for all labor, materials and equipment rental <br /> required for tapping mains, making connections, placing valves, meters or <br /> 16 any other protective device deemed necessary by the Superintendent to <br /> prevent the unauthorized use of water, including the testing of completed <br /> 17 work, shall be paid by the customer." <br /> 18 <br /> Section 8: Section 66 of Ordinance No. 4085 (EMC 14.16.680) which reads as <br /> 19 <br /> follows: <br /> 20 <br /> 21 "A. All water accounts shall be sent a statement of charges on a <br /> monthly basis. <br /> 22 <br /> B. All water accounts served on a fixed rate basis shall be due and <br /> 23 payable in advance, not later than the fifteenth day after the date <br /> shown on the monthly statement, and if not paid within such time, <br /> 24 shall be considered delinquent. A refund or credit will be given by <br /> the Water Department on fixed rate service charges paid in <br /> 25 advance in the event of a vacancy; provided, that notice shall have <br /> been submitted to the Water Department at the time such vacancy <br /> 26 occurred. No such refund nor credit shall be given if the notice is <br /> not submitted as required. <br /> 27 C. All metered water accounts shall be due and payable not later than <br /> 28 the fifteenth day after the date shown on the monthly statement, <br /> and if not paid within such time, shall be considered delinquent." <br /> 29 <br /> 30 shall be amended to read hereafter as follows: <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -5 <br />
