L • • 1 PROPOSITION 2 EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES - $.25/$1,000 3 Shall Ordinance No. 5J37-g.2 providing for an emergency medical care and services program including paramedic services for the City of Everett 4 and funding therefor and imposing an additional regular property tax levy of a maximum of twenty-five cents per thousand, or less as determined by 5 City Council, of the assessed value of property in the City each year for six consecutive years commencing January 1, 1983, be approved? 6 YES //// NO //// 7 8 The County Auditor of Snohomish County, ex officio Supervisor of Elections of 9 the County, shall have jurisdiction over and shall conduct such special election. The 10 City Clerk shall deliver to the Snohomish County Auditor a certified copy of this 11 ordinance showing its passage and including the ballot title herein set forth. 12 SECTION 6: Certification of such proposition by the City Clerk to the 13 Snohomish County Auditor in accordance with law prior to the date of such election on 14 April 6, 1982, and any other act consistent with the authority and prior to the effective 15 date of this ordinance, are ratified and confirmed. 16 SECTION 7: An emergency is declared to exist regarding Sections 1, 2, 5 and 6 17 of this ordinance and Sections 1, 2, 5 and 6 shall take effect upon becoming valid; 18 thereafter, Sections 3 and 4 of this ordinance providing for the program and funding 19 thereof shall take effect upon voter approval. 20 21 PASSED by the City Council of the City of Everett, Washington, at a regular 22 open public meeting thereof held on the / '4 day of February, 1982, and 23 APPROVED by the Mayor this / 7a day of February, 1982. 24 s' J 25 ATTEST: MAYOR 26 27 CITY CLERK 28 29 PASSED: Feb 17, 1982 30 VALID: Feb. 17, 1982 31 P 1BLISHED Feb. 21, 1982 32 -3-
