Planning and budgeting for Emergency Aid Cars (EAC) to be <br /> strategically located within the City and to be equipped as <br /> 2 required by this ordinance. <br /> 3 2. Planning and budgeting so that each in-service pumper <br /> within the City is equipped as an emergency aid vehicle, in <br /> 4 addition to necessary fire suppression equipment, as <br /> required by this ordinance and as recommended by the <br /> 5 Emergency Services Advisory Committee. <br /> 6 3. Developing a response pattern within the City which <br /> maximizes the use of the Emergency Aid Cars and <br /> 7 minimizes initial response time in a coordinated manner <br /> using the EAC vehicles and the fire pumpers. <br /> 8 <br /> 4. The EAC vehicles and the fire pumpers shall be utilized to <br /> 9 provide emergency medical care at the scene of injury or <br /> illness and may provide transportation of the sick and <br /> 10 injured. <br /> 11 <br /> SECTION 3: Section 14 of Ordinance No. 570-78 as amended by Section 3 of <br /> 12 <br /> Ordinance No. 781-81, which reads as follows: <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Section 14: Ambulance Contract. <br /> 15 The Mayor, or his designee, shall negotiate an annual agreement with one <br /> or more ambulance companies. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 18 <br /> Section 14: Ambulance Contract. <br /> 19 <br /> The Mayor, or his designee, may negotiate an annual agreement with one <br /> 20 or more ambulance companies. <br /> 21 <br /> SECTION 4: If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or <br /> 22 <br /> Ordinance No. 570-80 should be held invalid or unconstitutional, the invalidity or <br /> 23 <br /> unconstitutionality thereof shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other <br /> 24 <br /> section, sentence, clause or phrase. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 ,/ _ tide", < <br /> : <br /> 27 MAYOR <br /> AT�;� <br /> 28 1110 / I I, <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Passed: -,3- 8a <br /> Valid: c:5---cf 2--- <br /> 31 <br /> Published: <br /> 32 <br /> -3- <br />
