ORDINANCE NO. 807- Si <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the adoption of the <br /> Model 1981 National Electrical Code, the Washington <br /> Rules and Regulations for Installing Electric Wires <br /> (April 1, 1981), and the Department of Labor and <br /> Industries Electrical Installation Law, November 2, <br /> 1980, raising the electrical permit fees and amending <br /> Ordinance No. 724-80. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted the 1978 Edition of the National <br /> Electrical Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to update the 1978 Edition with the 1981 <br /> Edition; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt other relevant electrical <br /> regulations also; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the purpose of the adoption of the <br /> 1981 National Electrical Code as well as the other regulations is to protect the <br /> general public and is not intended to create a duty to or in favor of persons <br /> individually, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, The City of Everett Does Ordain: <br /> Section 1: Section 4 of Ordinance No. 724-80 which reads as follows: <br /> The National Electrical Code, 1978 Edition, published by the National Fire <br /> Protection Association; The Department of Labor and Industries, Rules and <br /> Regulations for installing electrical wires and equipment and Administrative <br /> Rules, March 6, 1978; The Department of Labor and Industries Electrical <br /> Installation Law, September 4, 1975; The Department of Labor and Industries <br /> Rules for Electrical Construction, revised September, 1965; The department <br /> of Labor and Industries Rules and Regulations for mobile homes, commercial <br /> coaches and recreational vehicles, revised January 1, 1972; and The <br /> Department of Labor and Industries Electrical Construction Code, December <br /> 1, 1964, are hereby adopted by reference. <br /> be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> The National Electrical Code, 1981 Edition, published by the National Fire <br /> Protection Association; The Department of Labor and Industries, Rules and <br /> Regulations for installing electrical wires and equipment and Administrative <br /> Rules (WAC 296-46) and Administrative Rules, April 1, 1981; and the <br /> Department of Labor and Industries Electrical Installation Law, November 2, <br /> 1980, are hereby adopted by reference. <br /> Section 2: Section 36 of Ordinance No. 724-80 which reads in part as follows: <br />
