I spoke with long time owners,
William and Margaret Young,425 422-3129.They tell me the roof of their home was damaged by a tree during a
windstorm in November 2015. Further, that they were underinsured and did not have sufficient funds to repair the
structure—so they used the money to purchase a new 5th wheel RV.
The owner indicates they have owned the property for 30 years and has power and sewage hookup in the back—
approved prior to annexation.
The owner now intends to move back inside the structure in the next 4 weeks—after building and insulating a wall—
apparently separating the damaged portion from the non-damaged. I told him I believed it would require building
permits.
Can you determine if this is a structure that is under Building Department jurisdiction or Labor and Industries?
Thanks!
Don
Donald Cunningham
Code Enforcement Officer
Everett Police Department
Desk 425 257-8564
dcunningham@everettwa.gov
