• <br /> '. <br /> • <br /> 1 $5.50 water charge <br /> $1.60 filtration charge <br /> 2 <br /> $7.10 per unit January 1, 1982, and thereafter <br /> 3 <br /> The minimum monthly charge shall apply to all services to which water is <br /> 4 available without regard to actual consumption. <br /> 5 <br /> Section 4: The City Treasurer shall establish rules, regulations, forms and <br /> 6 <br /> affidavits necessary for verification of eligibility for the reduced rates for low income <br /> 7 <br /> senior citizens as herein defined and to assure compliance with the terms of this <br /> 8 <br /> ordinance. <br /> 9 <br /> Section 5: The City budget for the water utility shall identify in a separate <br /> 10 <br /> category all costs and revenues relating to the financing, construction and operation of <br /> 11 <br /> the Lake Chaplain Water Filtration Plant which shall be referred to as the "filtration <br /> 12 <br /> charge" and identified as such in such manner as the Mayor shall deem feasible. <br /> 13 <br /> Section 6: The City Council may contract with large-volume master-metered <br /> 14 <br /> customers regarding sharing the capital and operational costs of water filtration. For <br /> 15 <br /> all customers receiving filtered water which are not participating in the costs of water <br /> 16 <br /> filtration, there is hereby added to the rate and charges for water service the following <br /> 17 <br /> charge to be identified as "filtration charge": $.24 per 100 cubic feet. In the event of <br /> 18 <br /> non-payment of said "filtration charge" for any reason, water service to customers not <br /> 19 <br /> paying current metered ordinance rates shall be cut off at the earliest possible time <br /> 20 <br /> consistent with the City's legal obligations and shall not be commenced until all charges <br /> 21 <br /> assessed herein have been paid in full, plus interest of 12% on the annual outstanding <br /> 22 <br /> indebtedness. <br /> 23 <br /> Section 7: Ordinance Nos. 535-78, 503-78, 485-77, 424-76, Section 2 of <br /> 24 <br /> Ordinance No. 493-78, Section 2 of Ordinance No. 361-75 are hereby repealed. <br /> 2541, <br /> 26 0 ,�de <br /> f� <br /> M A Y 0 Rl 1G� <br /> 27 <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 28 �C l <br /> .
