• <br /> 1 Section 9: FOR-HIRE VEHICLE DRIVER'S LICENSE. No person shall <br /> 2 operate a motor vehicle for hire on the streets of the City and no person who owns or <br /> 3 controls such vehicle for hire shall permit it to be so driven and no vehicle licensed by <br /> 4 the City shall be so driven at any time for hire unless the driver of said vehicle shall <br /> 5 have first obtained and shall have then in force a for-hire vehicle driver's license issued <br /> 6 under the provisions of this chapter. <br /> 7 Section 10: QUALIFICATIONS FOR FOR-HIRE VEHICLE DRIVER'S <br /> 8 LICENSE. No for-hire vehicle driver's license shall be issued to any person unless <br /> 9 said person shall: <br /> 10 1. Be of the age of eighteen years or over; <br /> 11 2. Be of sound physical condition, with good eyesight and not subject to <br /> 12 epilepsy, vertigo, heart trouble, color blindness, or any other infirmity of body or mind <br /> 13 which might render him unfit for the safe operation of any for-hire vehicle. The City <br /> 14 may require applicants at their own expense to receive a physical examination by the <br /> 15 Snohomish Health District to verify the foregoing; <br /> 16 3. Be clean of dress and person and not addicted to the use of intoxicating <br /> 17 liquors or narcotics; and <br /> 18 4. Not have been convicted of a felony or convicted of or forfeited bail to a <br /> 19 misdemeanor within ten years preceding the date of application which is directly <br /> 20 related to the ability and fitness of the applicant to engage in the operation of a <br /> 21 for-hire vehicle. <br /> 22 5. Show proof that he/she is covered by an insurance policy which meets the <br /> 23 minimum policy limits as set forth in Section 8 of this ordinance. <br /> 6. Must have valid Washington State Driver's License. <br /> 24 Section 11: APPLICATION FOR FOR-HIRE DRIVER'S LICENSE. Each <br /> 25 applicant for a for-hire vehicle driver's license shall fill out in detail an application <br /> 26 form provided by the City, which shall answer each of the requirements set forth in <br /> 27 Section 10 of this chapter, and in addition thereto shall state the applicant's full name, <br /> 28 place of residence at the time of application and for a period of two years prior <br /> 29 thereto, age, color, height, color of eyes and hair, place of birth, whether a citizen or <br /> 30 noncitizen, last place of employment, whether he has been convicted of a felony or <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -5- <br />
