June 13, 2018 <br /> last night and the naming process for the new Glacier View neighborhood <br /> park. <br /> President Roberts commented on a memo from Attorney Hugh Spitzer <br /> regarding council districting. He announced that Mr. Spitzer is scheduled <br /> to come before the Council for briefing next week, and asked council <br /> members to come prepared to share their thoughts on the process. <br /> President Roberts announced Action Item No. 7 had been pulled from the <br /> agenda. He also reported on his attendance at Sorticulture on Sunday. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Chief of Staff Lyle Ryan thanked Council Member Bader for representing <br /> the City on Saturday at the groundbreaking of the new YMCA. <br /> Police Chief Templeman provided an update to the report issued at <br /> today's Public Safety Committee meeting relating to the self-inflicted <br /> accidental discharge of a firearm. He stated that an arrest of a 16-year-old <br /> was made, not a 13-year-old as was reported at the Public Safety <br /> Subcommittee meeting. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session, anticipated to last no <br /> longer than 30 minutes, concerning a legal matter pursuant to RCW <br /> 42.30.110(1)(i)(iii) with no announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Gina, Everett, declined to speak. <br /> Maria Dopps and Mike Dopps, Everett, spoke about criminal activity <br /> associated with a nuisance rental property that has created concerns for <br /> their neighborhood safety. <br /> 180 <br />
