Mr. Collens sustained a fractured finger, loss of a tooth, and other <br /> injuries, and sought damages in the amount of$75,000. While the reason for his fall was disputed, a <br /> proposed settlement of$16,000 has been reached pending City Council approval. The settlement would <br /> include no admission of liability and a full release for all claims arising from this event. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Approve the Settlement of Collens v.
