EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. Project 1 & 2 Descriptions: <br /> Project 1 Recovered Water Line Support Repair <br /> This project involves the stabilization of two existing concrete ecology block footings that support a steel pipe water <br /> line that runs recovered water from the water filtration plant to Lake Chaplain. The existing supports are bearing <br /> directly on the riprap on the water side of the earth dam at the south end of Lake Chaplain. The supports have <br /> settled and shifted on the riprap,and the steel straps that connect the pipe to the support blocks are compromised. <br /> The supports will be stabilized with steel pin piles and the straps replaced. <br /> Project 2 Backwash Pump Station Roof Hatch <br /> A new 8'-6"wide by 16'-6"access hatch will be installed on the existing roof of the backwash pump station to <br /> enable City personnel to extract the two pump valves from the building for repair and replacement. The hatch will <br /> be automated with a push-button control system provided by the hatch manufacturer. <br /> CG Engineering will prepare 100%construction plans for the proposed project and coordinate the building permit <br /> submittals. The 90%plans have already been completed under a separate professional services agreement with the <br /> City of Everett. <br /> PROJECT 1 <br /> Task 1 —Project Mana¢ement&Coordination <br /> Under this task,CG Engineering will manage all aspects of the project scope,schedule,and budget. Project <br /> management services include: <br /> 1.1 CG Engineering staff management. <br /> 1.2 Communication and coordination with the City of Everett as required. <br /> Task 2—Data Collection and Field Investigation <br /> CG Engineering will evaluate existing conditions and collect field measurements. Subtasks include: <br /> 2.1 Obtain and review available existing drawings. <br /> 2.2 Provide one site visit to verify existing conditions,take measurements,and collect field data. <br /> Task 3—Construction Documents <br /> CG Engineering will provide final design documents,which will include plans for the proposed project. Subtasks <br /> include: <br /> 3.1 Prepare 100%plans. <br /> 3.2 Review meetings with the City(up to one meeting). <br /> 3.3 Obtain a Dam Safety permit(if required by Department of Ecology) <br /> 3.4 Building department submittal and comment response. <br />
