July 11, 2018 <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Anthony Vicari, Everett, commented on proposed zoning changes relating <br /> to developer parking requirements and the need for sidewalks in the Delta <br /> Neighborhood. <br /> Mary Rollins, Everett, spoke about illegal fireworks in her neighborhood on <br /> the 4th of July and requested extra police enforcement for next year. <br /> Police Chief Dan Templeman reported on the number of police calls <br /> received relating to fireworks, and noted that eight additional officers were <br /> assigned to respond to fireworks complaints this year. He stated residents <br /> may place anonymous 911 calls and the police department can still <br /> enforce on violations. <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> COUNCIL BILL 1807-23 <br /> FIRST AND SECOND READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to regular property taxes; providing for <br /> the submission to the qualified electors of the City a special election <br /> to be held in conjunction with the state general election on <br /> November 6, 2018, of a proposition authorizing the City to levy <br /> regular emergency medical services property taxes in excess of the <br /> limitations of Chapter 84.55 RCW for emergency medical services; <br /> setting forth the text of the ballot proposition, directing the proper <br /> City officials to take necessary actions; and providing for other <br /> related matters. <br /> Presented by Dave DeMarco, Fire Chief <br /> Randy Utt, Everett, spoke in favor of the proposed ordinance. <br /> S <br /> 207 <br />
