• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 74'5-- 30 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2 and 9 of <br /> Ordinance No. 630-79, creating a special <br /> construction fund entitled "1979 Block <br /> Grant Neighborhood Improvement Fund No. <br /> 333" as amended by Ordinance Nos 667-80, <br /> 719-80 and 738-80,, and declaring an emergency. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL THAT: <br /> Section 1: That Sections 2 and 9 of Ordinance No. 630-79, as amended by <br /> Ordinance Nos. 667-80, 719-80, and 738-80 which read as follows: <br /> Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to provide for the development <br /> of contact plans, specifications and detailed cost estimates and construction <br /> required to provide the following: <br /> A. Riverside Neighborhood Improvements - (as amended by Riverside <br /> residents on October 30, 1979) : <br /> 1. Overlay Cedar, 19th to 21st, widen and install curbs <br /> both sides. There is an additional $400 of funds <br /> from the 1978 Block Grant Neighborhood Improvements <br /> Fund No. 329, Program 718, Work Order 713. <br /> (Estimated Cost: $50,000) <br /> 2. Parking strip Improvements on 21st Street between Cedar <br /> Street and Pine Street. Improvement not completed in <br /> 1978. <br /> (Estimated Cost: $1,500) <br /> 3. For mailing and copying expenses for Greater Riverside <br /> Organization (G.R.O. ) meetings. This will be paid for <br /> from 1978 Block Grant Neighborhood Improvements Fund <br /> No. 329, Program 718, Work Order 714. <br /> (Cost: $300) <br /> 4. Replace sections of sidewalks on Highland between 23rd <br /> and Everett Avenue. <br /> (Estimated Cost: $12,797) <br /> 5. Install drainage tile on 2400 Block of Highland and on <br /> Walnut between 21st and 22nd. <br /> (Estimated Cost: $6,000) <br /> B. Port Gardner Neighborhood Improvements: <br /> 1. Complete any 1978 Port Gardner Neighborhood projects which <br /> were approved by City Council in 1978 but cannot be completed <br /> with 1978 Port Gardner Block Grant funds, up to a maximum <br /> of $10,000. <br /> 2. Two reflective tape crosswalk signs on the north sides <br /> of the 35th and Hoyt intersection and the 36th and Hoyt <br /> intersection. <br /> (Estimated Cost: $300) <br /> 3. Improvements on 35th from Hoyt to Rucker up to a maximum <br /> of $33,000 in the following priority: <br /> a. curbs and gutters on north and south sides <br /> b. sidewalk on south side <br /> c. street repairs (fill and overlay) <br /> d. driveway and alley apron on north side <br /> (Estimated Cost: $33,000) <br /> 1 <br />
