College, and the reasons for such action shall be discussed with the effected Student and <br /> the College's Director of the Online Field Program. The Facility and the College agree that <br /> the College shall be responsible for notifying the Student and effectuating the suspension or <br /> termination, whether such suspension or termination is initiated by the College or the <br /> Facility. <br /> 6. The Facility and the College will not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion, color, <br /> national or ethnic origin, age, disability, military service, veteran status,gender, gender <br /> identity or expression, sexual orientation, or any other class protected by law or regulation, <br /> in either the selection of Students applying for participation in the Program or as to any <br /> aspect of the provision of educational training to Students enrolled in the Program. <br /> B. Obligations of the College <br /> 1. The College shall provide the Facility with current information about its curriculum and <br /> clinical education goals. <br /> 2. The College shall ensure that each Student participating in the Program meets academic and <br /> other qualifications as are consistent with the objectives and requirements of the Program, <br /> including the capability of meeting objectives for the first or second year clinical placement <br /> experience. <br /> 3. The College agrees to provide authorized representatives of the Facility limited personally <br /> identifiable information about Students from the College's educational records that is <br /> reasonably necessary for the Student's participation in the Program. No additional <br /> information from Student's educational record at the College will be provided to the Facility <br /> unless: (a)the Facility provides a written consent from the Student to the release of such <br /> additional information; or(b)the College reasonably concludes that the need for such <br /> information is related to the educational internship experience or the release of such <br /> information is in compliance with applicable law. <br /> 4. The College shall instruct the Students and any faculty of the College assigned to the Facility <br /> that they are obligated: (a)to abide by all applicable policies, rules and regulations of the <br /> Facility; (b)to comply with HIPAA privacy standards; and (c)to maintain as confidential all <br /> patient records and information to which they may have access while at the Facility. <br /> 5. The College shall instruct each Student who participates in the Program that the Student is <br /> responsible for obtaining health insurance coverage. <br /> 6. The College represents that each Student participating in the Program is covered by <br /> professional liability insurance with limits of at least$1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 in <br /> the aggregate, and each faculty member while acting within the scope of his/her required <br /> duties is covered by general comprehensive liability insurance with limits of at least <br /> $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 in the aggregate. <br /> 7. The College shall notify Students participating in the Program that they must obtain prior <br /> written approval from the College and from the Facility before publishing any material <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br />
